RICHLAND ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
Building A Learning Community: The Mustang Way
"A leader does the right thing even when nobody is looking.
Think before you act.
Ask yourself: Is it safe? Is it honest? Is it respectful?"
Richland is committed to providing a consistent message about school behavior expectations. The Leader in Me describes a process for school-wide transformation based on The 7 Habits of Happy Kids. Our goal is to enhance students' life skills and work readiness. Students will learn and apply skills for:
- Taking responsibility
- Goal setting
- Time management
- Relationship building
- Conflict management
- Listening and speaking
- Working in teams
- Problem solving
- Respecting diversity
- Making healthy choices
Students will be recognized for learning these important life skills by earning Leader Tickets and being honored as the classroom Student of the Month at the Richland Round Up on the 4th Friday of each month.
