Drop-Off and Pick-Up

Procedures for Parents Who Drive Children To and From School:

Morning Drop-Off

• Children may be dropped off at 2 locations on Richland's campus - the Borden Road lot in front of the school and the Richland Road lot on the east side of the school.
• Cars enter lots at the curb in a single file line. Please avoid driving around cars stopped at the curb.
• Pull forward as far as you can to allow as many cars into the lot as possible.
• Children are to be left at the curb only. Children are not permitted to walk across parking lots unless accompanied by an adult.
• Do not leave your car in the red zone along the curb. You need to park your car in a parking space if you wish to enter the school or walk your child to the gate.
• Campus Supervisors are located at gates on Borden and Richland Roads to monitor students entering campus. Adults must check-in and enter through the front office.
• Crossing Guards are located on Rose Ranch and Borden Roads and Richland and Borden Roads to help children who walk or are dropped off away from campus. Please make sure your children understand they are to cross streets only when accompanied by an adult.

Afternoon Pick-Up

• Teachers walk Kindergarteners and 1st and 2nd graders to the Borden Road lot.
• 3rd, 4th and 5th graders are dismissed from the Richland Road lot unless they meet younger siblings and have been directed by parents to meet at the Borden Road lot.
• Cars enter lots at the curb in a single file line. Avoid driving around cars stopped at the curb.
• Children are not permitted to walk through the parking lot unless accompanied by an adult.
• Pull forward as far as you can to allow as many cars into the lot as possible.
• DO NOT LEAVE YOUR CAR. Teachers and administrators are on duty to locate your children and assist them to your car.
• KINDER PARENTS: Kinder dismisses at 3:25. Please pull into the parking lot no earlier than 3:25 so 1st and 2nd graders can meet their parents between 3:10 and 3:25.
