Volunteer Form: Friends of Richland (FOR Club) PTO
We appreciate our volunteers tremendously, and we count on them to enhance the events that we put on for our students, teachers and school community. The following guidelines will make everyone’s experience the best it can be:
Be on time - Please show up for assigned shift on time or early so you can receive instructions before you begin working. If you will be late or absent, please call your Volunteer Coordinator to let her know.
Sign In - Let us know you are here and ready to work. If the event or task is on campus during school hours, sign in as a volunteer at the front office using your driver’s license. If the event is outside of school hours, find your Volunteer Coordinator to check in and receive your assignment.
Wear a volunteer tag at all times so staff members know you are working at the event.
Be friendly! - Stay positive, answer questions as best you can, and always know you can ask for help or guidance from your Volunteer Coordinator or a FOR Club board member.
Be flexible - During an event, you may be reassigned according to event needs (if you are comfortable with the new assignment). You will always be given instructions and support to complete your assigned tasks.
Be aware - If you see or hear students do or say things that are obviously inappropriate, let a teacher or administrator know. Please do not attempt to correct a problem yourself.
Sign out - Let us know you are leaving once your shift ends. Your Volunteer Coordinator will sign you out whenever you need to leave.
Thank you for giving us time out of your busy schedules! Our events can’t happen without volunteer support!
