Mustang E-Blast, Week of  December 12th

E-blasts will be sent every Wednesday at 5:00 p.m. with the upcoming week’s information.  You can also find the weekly Mustang E-blast on our website under Resources.

  • Mustang Families are amazing! Giving Tree gifts are due next Wednesday, December 19th. Our “ornaments”  have been picked up to help our families!  ! Thanks for spreading holiday cheer! Gifts and support will be delivered Thursday, December 20th so PLEASE have all donations in by Wednesday. 27 families are being shown our love!  We are a truly blessed community!
  • Richland’s Holiday Choir is Thursday, December 20th at 6 p.m.  There is nothing more beautiful than children’s voices raised in song!  Come join the cheer and fill yourself with the holiday spirit!
  • Our Winter break is almost here!  We are ready for holiday time with family and friends and time for our long winter’s nap.  Our Winter break begins on Friday, December 21st with early release at 12:55 p.m. and we return to school on Monday, January 14th.  Happy holidays to all and to all a good 3 weeks off.


  • The Lost and Found is overflowing! If your child is missing a jacket or other clothing items, Please stop by before or after Friday’s Flag Salute! Teachers will be bringing their classes to stop by too.  All items left will be donated to a charity over the holidays.



  • Sub Noontime Supervisors and Crossing Guards needed. Richland Elementary is looking for people who love children, and want to earn some extra money by becoming substitute Noon Time Supervisors.

Hours are:

Before School                8:00 a.m. to 8:45 a.m.

Recesses                        10:50 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

Lunch periods                11:35 a.m. to 1:45 p.m.
After School                   3:10 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.

We are in need of substitutes right now for our existing supervior positions but these positions may become more permanent. If you’re interested or have questions, please see the link on our Richland website for directions on how to apply. .

Makerspace Supplies needed:

small boxes - empty (ex: tea bag boxes, band aid boxes, tissue boxes, etc)

Thin cardboard or chipboard (ex: cereal box cardboard, rice/pasta box, etc.)

Empty Tissue and TP tubes

Left over craft supplies 


Fabric and ribbon

Cardboard boxes - Yes, we want your empty Amazon boxes! 

           If possible please flatten boxes so they can be stored 


Your student can drop supplies in the box outside the makerspace room #27.


Makerspace Design Challenge

1st grade has been working hard in the makerspace.  They have been learning robotic programming.  :-)
