  • The FOR Club is excited to announce our recent APEX Fun Run raised $42,648 for Richland Elementary's STEAM Program. This is a record-breaking fundraiser! Thank you to all who helped their student fundraise, pledged, volunteered, and came out to support our annual fun run! We had a wonderful day and couldn't have done it without the support of our amazing families and our community.

  • It is with a mixed emotions that we say goodbye to our STEAM Coordinator, Kjerstie Bourne! In 7 years she orchestrated 1,400 students in hands on engaging STEAM labs! Our school now has a student body that loves STEAM subjects! AND in the process, she have also created a defined path for the future. Richland went from simply a vision to a full stocked STEAM & Makerspace Lab plus lesson plans to match NGSS and Common Core standards. She is moving onto a new path and we will miss her terribly!  But her heart, soul, legacy and FOR Club funded STEAM program will continue on at Richland  We love you, Kjerstie!

  • Our Lost and Found is overflowing! With the cool mornings and warmer weather, we have LOTS of lost sweaters and jackets looking for their owners. Please stop the Lost and Found in the cafeteria.

  • Kids on Campus (Before/After School Care)  currently serves students in grades TK-3 at Richland. We recognize the impact this has on families. For 2019-20, KOC is exploring whether we can also offer AM and PM care for 4th and 5th graders. This will be dependent on: 1) classroom space at Richland; 2) KOC's ability to staff another classroom; 3) sufficient interest to make the program viable. There is no guarantee that we will be able to offer 4/5 care for next year. Furthermore, we may not know whether we can run a 4/5 program at Richland before the end of this school year.  However, if you are interested, please visit the KOC Website under News and Announcements to fill out the Richland 4/5 Interest List, specifying the care you need (AM/PM/both). This interest list will close Friday, 5/10/19. After 5/10, we will assess the level of interest and will communicate with those who have expressed interest.
